Teresa Mei Chuc: Founder and Editor-in-Chief
Poet Laureate of Altadena Editor-in-Chief (Altadena, California) 2018-2020, Teresa Mei Chuc (Tuệ Mỹ Chúc) founded Shabda Press in 2011 as a labor of love. Teresa is the author of three full-length collections of poetry, Invisible Light (Many Voices Press, 2018), Keeper of the Winds (FootHills Publishing, 2014), and Red Thread (First edition, Fithian Press, 2012 and Second edition, Shabda Press, 2021). Her poems appear in numerous journals including The National Poetry Review, The Prose-Poem Project, EarthSpeak Magazine, Splinter Generation, Rattle, Hawai'i Pacific Review, Kyoto Journal and Verse Daily. Her poetry also appears in the following anthologies: New Poets of the American West (Many Voices Press, 2010), L (Silkworms Ink, 2011), Mo (Silkworms Ink, 2011), With Our Eyes Open: Poems of the New American Century (West End Press, 2014), Mo’ Joe (Beatlick Press, 2014), Truth to Power: Writers Respond to the Rhetoric of Hate and Fear (CutThroat, 2017), and Inheriting the War: Poetry & Prose by Descendants of Vietnam Veterans & Refugees (W.W. Norton, November 2017).
Teresa has a bachelors degree in philosophy, professional teaching credentials in primary and secondary education, and a Masters in Fine Arts in Creative Writing (poetry) from Goddard College in Plainfield, Vermont. She served for one year as poetry editor and another year as poetry editor-in-chief for Goddard College's Pitkin Review. Teresa Mei Chuc's new chapbook of poetry is How One Loses Notes and Sounds (Word Palace Press, 2016).

Jo Dominguez: Book Cover Designer/Graphic Artist
Jo Dominguez is Shabda Press' book cover designer/graphic artist. A talented and accomplished musician and a graduate of Cal Poly Pomona, Jo is a founding member of The Regenerative Collective and a case manager working with people experiencing houselessness in Los Angeles.
Kristen Torralba: Book Cover Design/Graphic Artist
Kristen Torralba is a multi-disciplinary designer with a bachelor's degree in illustration and minor in Social Innovation as received from Art Center College of Design. She utilizes her visual problem solving skills to showcase the purpose and character of each creative endeavor.
